Description
Experience Level: Expert
Kind of design: SINGLE fast-loading, dynamic web page. Num. of web pages: 1
**** Important please note any proposals mentioning Wordpress, Joomla or similar CMS as the solution will not be considered. It's fine if some of your portfolio has been done using a CMS. However this is specifically a client-side HTML5/CSS/JS design requirement so please highlight your relevant client-side web/mobile UI design credentials. Any single page app experience (e.g. using AJAX/API to improve experience) may be useful for future enhancements so by all means mention this, but the first release needs to be purely client-side with no back-end dependencies whatever****
Description of every page: I am seeking a minimalist professional website design which loads quickly and uses client-side HTML5/CSS/Javascript to provide a simple navigation between around 4 different images and associated brief text covering:
- Who we are
- What we do
- Why use us
- How to contact us
Ideally the default display should automatically change between the 4 images/text views every few seconds while providing visitors with a way of choosing to display any of the 4. When the visitor chooses to display any of the 4 views, the automatic cycling of the views should stop.
Ideas for the visual style: Visually uncluttered background photographs with easily readable foreground text overlays
Things to avoid: Code libraries with known security vulnerabilities, back-end CMS or Database.
Urls to draw inspiration from: https://www.jawconsulting.co.uk/, http://marcelblum.com/
Extra notes: The reasons for a minimalist design is that we want to keep security and privacy risks to a minimum.
The design should adapt (whilst remaining professional looking) to the available display of common browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge) on different devices (Macs, PCs, Tablets, Smart Phones).
No SEO is required, No hosting is required. No form submission is required. No content management system must be used (e.g. Wordpress, Joomla). There should be no back-end database. No tracking cookies or analytical plug-ins should be used. Dependency of the design of well-supported open source software libraries (e.g. JQueryUI) is acceptable although not required. If the design can be delivered without any dependencies that would be ideal.
The copyright in the design may be retained by the author and visible in the source but should not be visible by default in the web page itself. All elements of the design should be covered by permissive, perpetual royalty-free licence which allows later modifications without further payment to the author.
