Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are a small Ofsted-approved independent school (maximum number of students = 15) in Croydon, helping students who are at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment, or training). We have a website you could look at which gives you a better idea of what the organisation is about. Our name is 'The Write Time' and you can find us on https://www.the-write-time.org
We are a very small team, and are currently looking for a freelance teacher to teach 3 hours of BTEC Hospitality a week, to lead on the production of the scheme of work for it and associated lesson plans, as well as possibly 1 hour of PSHRE (Personal, Social, Health & Religious Education) from September 2016. This is part of our new approach of offering 8 GCSE-equivalent subjects to our young people, to offer them a broad and balanced curriculum, and match a Progress 8 offering of any school. We are happy to pay a competitive rate up to £35/hour. There are always 2 members of staff per class, with 1 being highly trained in managing challenging behaviour, and in our key ethos of Choice Theory & Reality Therapy.
We pride ourselves on having a very close community feel and supporting one another as much as possible, especially in times of difficulty, and camaraderie about our workplace in every aspect. Our workplace is truly unique and we can almost guarantee you that you won't have seen a school like us before! If you are interested please do get in touch to see if we can work together.
Best wishes,
Sam Cuthbertson
