Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We sell computer and radio based systems to help warehouse managers find and track items or mobile assets within their location. This is only an issue for large warehouses or storage yards with many thousands of items, some of which may become lost and then become very difficult to find without our tracking devices. A large warehouse or storage yard is thousands of square meters (e.g. generally larger than 100 x 50 meters in floorspace). Please see our website www.rfidc.com for more details on our products.
The research task is to find via a mix of web research, trade directories, trade bodies, publications or phone calls a list of the top 100 largest warehouses in the Southern England up to and including the Midlands. Then to list in an MS Exel spreadsheet at least two relevant contacts for each large warehouse operation. As a start point the relevant target contact titles are Warehouse Manager or Director, Logistics Manager or Director, Distribution Manager or Director, Supply Chain Manager or Director. It is most likely that companies with large warehouses are also in the top 500 turnover in the UK and may well include household names. Small companies below £20 million turnover are not of interest as they don't tend to have the volume of items or scale of operation to justify buying our systems. We are seeking a good range of different companies from different sectors within the list of 100 - so please dont provide more than two sets of Warehouse details per single organisation. For example we dont want just 50 warehouses for Tesco and 50 warehouses for Sainsburys.
The information required is the company name, large warehouse postal address including postcode, contact first-name, contact surname, contact title (Mr, Mrs etc), contact role (Warehouse Manager etc) contact e-mail address, contact work phone number, contact postal address inc postcode (if different from the warehouse address). Please dont supply contact details below the title of Manager as we need to contact decision makers, influencers and people with budget sign-off.
The contact details need to be high quality so we can market to them directly using this information - so please ensure all information provided (names in particular) are correctly spelt having been checked. This is easily done by phoning the company and explaining that we are writing to the person in question and asking their switchboard or reception if we can just check their details are correctly spelt for the letter. It is generally easier to obtain such information by saying you wish to write to someone, rather than asking to be put through to speak directly to the person themselves - which can evoke a gatekeeper blocking reaction in some companies.
