Description
Experience Level: Expert
I am seeking a fast & efficient web developer who can help me complete an interactive website that is almost finished. Unfortunately the previous developer, whilst initially doing excellent work, has let me down by leaving me in the lurch, after having received an ititial 'tranche',...
Because of this, funds are now a bit limited, however if an excellent job is done, this will most definitely lead onto more follow up work as it is needed. I just want to get my technology to market & start selling it ASAP!
Skills required are:
1) Ability to examine the status of the site in its current state & ascertain how it has been left by the previous developer. Thus as a first stage, get it fully up & running in its current functional but incomplete state..
It is essential that 'you' can get up to speed' quickly.
Once familiar with the site's structure, it will need a thorough going over, to ensure full functionality that was previously in place (before re-skining etc...) is restored.
2) The site needs completing (mostly database & web field creation), by adding a few features that are missing & a sorely needed management back-end (Still mostly database work with a front end web interface to access what you add.)
3) To build the back-end that will enable a non-techy, to provision clients, & manage aspects of the site.
Skills required:
Excellent PHP, HTML, Mobile browser WAP & HTML, (Possibly Java)
3rd party API interfacing (In place, just needs checking)
Excellent MySql
Ajax - to add a couple of real-time features to the site.
Thorough understanding of Apache hosting on Linux
(Follow up work) - NOT part of this current requirement, but near future:
4) Ability to create Mobile apps, or wrapable browser 'launchers' for Apple, Blackberry, Win Mobile.
As stated, this mini-project is to help complete a site that is not far from finished already, but I have been let down by the previous developer, who has wasted time & money.
