We need a Technical survey Specialist to work from distance;
- Helping with the Technical proposal
- Making the report when data is collected
- Assisting in some points during data collection
II. Project objectives
The broad objectives of the monitoring firm are the following:
• Design a sampling plan and monitoring methodology (including the monitoring tool) to effectively monitor and observe on-going mapping, training and data collection activities, in Kabul and Panjshir provinces. Monitor the mentioned activities in accordance with standard UNFPA/CSO formats and checklists, ensuring that UN Norms and Standards for Monitoring and Ethics are respected; and
• Provide regular reports to UNFPA, containing findings from mapping, training and enumeration activities along with timely and pragmatic recommendations;
• Participate in CSO/UNFPA meetings when requested
Specific tasks
The monitoring firm will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Design a suitable monitoring framework for checking the coverage of the mapping, listing, training and survey, including an effective sampling methodology, which should include:
o Appropriate sample design with frequent/concentration of monitoring in the first week of monitoring (one week after the start of data collection); the design should also consider concentration in the remote areas of the two provinces;

o Collection of GPS points on each village visited;
• Form a field team to monitor SDES mapping/listing process; trainings provided by CSO Master Trainers in the districts; and data collection activities based on the monitoring and sampling framework agreed upon, preferably using local staff familiarized with the provinces at all possible times;
• Produce daily monitoring reports to UNFPA, especially to inform UNFPA about villages and households which were missed by Cartographers and surveyors ;
• Prepare a list of challenges, and lessons learned on mapping and training activities, enumeration methodology and operations and make timely recommendations to feed back into future implementation;
• Whenever necessary, attend regular review meetings with UNFPA and CSO;
• Raise any serious causes for concern to UNFPA as early as possible (early warning); and
• Produce a final report and presentation to UNFPA and CSO on mapping, training and monitoring activities, including all lessons
