Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hello,
I’m looking for a Raspberry Pi stand-alone video player that has only 3 GPIO buttons.
Hardware:
Raspberry Pi
640 X 480 NTSC video screen. Small 2 in. display
3 LEDs
3 Buttons
USB stick
Functions:
Video player software must boot on start up. No mouse or keyboard will be attached.
Using the 3 GPIO buttons user can scroll up and down a list of video files on the USB stick and select which to play, including multiple folders. Font should be large enough to read on a small screen
Each of the 3 LEDs should light when their corresponding button is pressed. (Green, Yellow, Red)
Once a video is playing 3 buttons should function as scan backwards, play/pause, scan forwards.
Pressing the backwards and forwards button at the same time should stop the video and go back to the selection menu.
Deliverables:
This device will probably not have internet connection so all code and libraries need to be downloadable to a memory card.
I’d like the source code of the py app (with lots of notes) so I may make changes at a later date.
Installation instructions for above with no internet connection.
Note: this software will note be re-sold, just used in a demo environment.
