Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hello,
My name is Kevin Sikora. I have recently started my own software company. I have developed two applications that can be used to automate the testing of mobile phones, or other mobile related devices. These applications are primarily targeted at any device that communicates with a mobile network. Possible customers for these applications would be the following:
1) mobile network operators (Vodafone, O2, ...)
2) mobile phone manufacturers (Apple, HTC, Nokia, ...)
3) protocol stack developers (Qualcomm, ST Ericsson, ...)
4) certified test houses (Cetecom, 7Layers, ...)
5) general device manufacturers (Telit and any other company that develops devices that communicate with mobile networks. For example, Telit manufacturers devices that are attached to wind turbines that SMS information back to their customers' sites.)
The first application that I have is called SkyJack. This application would be used to automate the testing of mobile devices. The user would setup a campaign of test cases and then start the campaign. The application would then issue commands to the mobile devices and analyse the responses coming back. An example would be a script that \"tells\" the mobile device to setup 1,000 calls to a number. This type of test would be for stress testing the mobile device. During development, it can be the case that the mobile phone will crash after setting up 50 calls due to poor memory management.
The second application I have is called SilverBlade. It is used to automate the initialization of SIM cards. Before testers start their testing with their devices, they will have to configure the SIM card so that it contains specific data related to whatever test they are running. Usually a tester will use a card editor to modify bits and bytes. This is time consuming and error prone. With SilverBlade, you can write a script that contains all the data you want written to your card. After the script is written, it only takes a few clicks of the mouse to configure the card. The user will then no longer have to think about the bits and bytes anymore.
What I am looking for is a (commission only) sales person to sell subscriptions for my applications. Would you be interested in selling my applications? Have you had any experience selling software? Have you ever worked in the mobile telecommunications industry? Would you be comfortable calling companies throughout Europe? It should be noted though that any company in the world doing mobile device testing would be a potential customer.
Regards,
Kevin
