New Social Media Work for New Magazine
We need help driving traffic to our online magazine The Idealist.
TheIdealist.com launched 1 December.
It's an online magazine showcasing designers, high street furniture and interiors. It's advertising funded.
We have 60 or so articles live and positive feedback from readers and the social media campaigns we post through Facebook and twitter get lots of likes, but fewer clickthroughs than we would like and we get very few comments or sign ups to the mailing list.
We use CoSchedule from WordPress do to the social media campaigns. We have a Pinterest page registered but not built yet. We need
1. Better social media campaigns to drive traffic to the site (Twitter, FB, Pinterest)
2. A Pinterest presence
3. A new strategy to get interior designers to create profiles on a directory part of the site similar to this on Houzz http://www.houzz.co.uk/professionals/interior-designers. This capability still needs to be built onto our site.
Activities needed include:
• Twitter: Campaign for each new article going forward (currently we publish 1-2 articles per day) - We need people retweeting and sharing content across the platform.
• Catch up campaign for published articles (c. 30 articles) to drive more traffic. -
• Facebook: As Twitter above + building out an archive of photos to showcase Idealist articles
Pinterest
• Create 60 pins for already-published Idealist content
• Create pin for new articles going forward (currently we publish 1-2 articles per day)
Our targets are:
• Twitter: 5000 followers by the end of Month 3 - preferably UK / France / EU based as our content is geographically relevant to these users.
• Facebook:
⁃ Post Engagement: increase from 3,700 to 20,000
⁃ Page likes: increase from 2,300 to 20,000
• Post Shares to commence and increase Month on Month. 30 Shares on average per post by the end of Month 3
• Pinterest:
⁃ Pinners: 10,000
⁃ Repins: 100,000
Theidealist.com
• Article engagement: >5 comments on every article - We use the facebook comments plugin on Wordpress.
• A 2.5% Clickthrough rate from Social platforms to Website by the end of month 3
Analytics: We use Universal Google Analytics. As an agency you will be expected to tag the different URLs, pages on the website and post destination URLS to allow you to track goals and actions.
Reporting:
We require comprehensive reporting per platform on a monthly basis with interim reports every Monday AM. The interim report should contain a log of posts published and minor engagement details such as shares, retweets, clicks etc. For the monthly report we expect a full report covering all activity, social actions, number of goals ( Google Analytics), traffic generated and some demographic information about our audience.
Attachment includes overview of all the key sections of the site.
