Description
Experience Level: Expert
I would like a talented, creative developer to build an app based game for facebook that also runs and syncs with it's own browser based site. Either from build, or as a second release, the game would not rely on flash and therefore work on iphone and ipad safari browser. That is why i have ticked html5 but any technology that enables this is fine - i have no real idea!
Longer term an iphone/ipad and android app would be the next logical step (and separate job) if this project is successful, but to be clear, the initial focus is facebook and browsers.
The project would be delivered to you with completed wireframes, copy and art direction, and we would work together on edits to these, extra requirements, but the freelancer will need to bring creativity, a sense of humour and some passion for the project.
The game will be based on an existing form of combat, that is highly stylised and visually beautiful. As such, this game will have a very strong creative appeal, and quality is of the utmost importance. Graphical style will be 8 bit wrestling game, but wrapped with beautiful menu buttons, status updates, options etc.
The game also needs a transaction engine so users can make micropayments.
The social aspect is what success hinges on. Facebook, twitter, youtube, vimeo and many other sites may play a part in the sharing and receiving of content. Working knowledge of some or all of the APIs for these sites is essential. Users need to be able to share, invite others, play alone or against other users and add content and elements with ease.
Final agreed price will include all IP, source code and a SLA for bugs and updates.
That above line sounds a little scary - so it's worth saying the agreed deal will also ideally be the beginning of a very successful longer term relationship and a really fun thing to work on :)
