Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
Newly formed company that has not started to trade, or purchase. Company formed, bank accounts set up, currently registering for VAT.

I'm in need of an accountant and accounting advice (ideally based near-ish to gatwick, surrey, sussex etc). I will be able to keep (and submit) all transactions and receipts in excel, but I really need to be told the best format in which to present these (as I have no accounting background other than keeping monthly expenses in pas employment).

The business will be a retail business that will operate of an integrated site. This can all be linked to sage line 50 (which i have), however due to the small scale, and the fact that I'm not familiar with any accounting programs... this may be irrelevant.

The ltd. company will now be registered for VAT (as I believe that it will need to be done in the future anyway) so I will need some friendly advice on that, along with someone handling the VAT returns.

For the accounting side I will need the P&L maintained for companies house along with the accumulation of any receipt info that I send (in the agreed format).

About the company:

This will be a very high end, bespoke hamper company, offering consumer retail services along with corporate gifts services. I'm still hanging onto my 20's, and this should be a fun venture without the traditions of many... well... traditional companies.

Thank you for reading all the way down to this line, and I hope that are interested enough to bid. No blind bidder though please... yes funds are very tight at this stage (as will all start-up's) but I think that its important that you do, or think you 'could' share some interest in this company. Or in other words, I don't want an accountant that I'm a pain in the arse to.

Thanks girls and guys!
