Description
Experience Level: Expert
Information for the business: IT & Networking Consulting/Freelance Company
Industry: Internet/Software
Type of logo: Word mark, Abstract mark, Pictorial mark
Brand name/slogan in logo: Nerdworking
Ideas for the visual style: modern & clean (open to designer's opinion & ideas though)
Where the design will be used: website, business cards, online ads
Extra notes: NOTE: Would rather keep budget closer to 100 than 200 but willing to pay more for great talent and work.
Would like to have finished product in 2-3 weeks
Nerdworking Solutions will be performing computer network related freelance work dealing with routers, switches, firewalls, loadbalancers, etc. This is a brand new company and at this point will just be a side business for my business partner and I. My business partner is 20 and has only a few years of experience and I'm 36 and have 12 years of experience in IT. We're ex-colleagues, neither of us are stereotypical nerds, and both of us fell into IT. The customers we'll be targeting are small to medium sized businesses, and our primary means of advertising will be ads on LinkedIn and Facebook.
A lot of consulting companies have logos that are stuffy and boring looking (too corporate) and a lot of computer companies have really cheesy logos and overuse the "nerd" concept. Nerdworking was chosen on a play on "Networking" which we do and because we thought it was fun and memorable.
We would like to have source files and copyright & trademark ownership. It'd be nice to have a variety of files for the finished product, some with just a word mark and some with just the abstract/pictorial mark, but with the source files I'm capable of breaking the two apart for use.
Other logos I think are effective:
