This truly unique position is looking for an equally unique candidate looking to get stuck into all aspects of a small creative retail business.
Beverley Edmondson Millinery one of the leading independent milliners in the South East. A finalist in the Drapers Niche Independent Retailer of the year for both 2015 and 2016 and winner National accessory designer of the year from the Wedding Industry Awards 2017.
Her beautiful designs cover a wide range of occasions and can be bought in store as premade designs or tailor-made to match exact client requirements. The store also stocks customisable footwear, clutch bags and other accessories to compliment the hats. Beverley Edmondson Millinery is known for professional and personal service, so it is imperative that every customer receives an exceptional in store experience.
Job specification: Retail supervisor
The role will be shop floor based and include all the day to day running of the boutique from opening and closing, cashing up, cleaning, tidying, and making sales, The role will also include the more creative tasks of designing headpieces with customers, style advising, undertaking minor millinery alterations (Millinery training will be given), merchandising and window displays.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, determined, and ambitious. You have a passion for sales, merchandising and design. You care a lot about the details and wanting to make everything perfect for the client. Versatility and flexibility is key to this position.
Preferred experience:
Previous luxury sales experience Computer and social media literate Natural eye for colour, style and design Visual merchandising

Strong communications skills Excellent sales skills Ability to be flexible, as to meet the needs of the business Confident, assertive and professional approach to work Excellent customer focus at all times Ability to work independently and time manage effectively Dedication to business growth and requirements Genuine interest in millinery and luxury retail

We are looking for someone who will become part of the Beverley Edmondson Millinery family and grow with the business.
Hours and salary are flexible and can be discussed individually.
However, hours would be 24 to 40 hours per week, working 7-8.5 hour days between the hours of 9.15am and 5.30pm (exact hours may vary depending on seasonal requirements). The successful candidate must be able to work at least 2 Saturdays per month, and any days can work on a bi-weekly rota if preferred.
Salary between £17,000 - £23,000 P/A (if working full time) depending on experience
Flexibility to cover holidays and seasonal requirements will be preferred
