JOB TITLE: Sales Agent
REPORTS TO: Sales and Marketing Manager
BASED AT: Home Based
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Implementation of companys sales activity
Job purpose:
To carry out sales activities, so as to maintain and develop sales of the companys Merchandising Service to UK retail businesses, in accordance with agreed business plans.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Maintain an electronic customer and/or prospect database. Plan and carry out sales activities (principally e-mail) to agreed timescales, sales volumes and values. Assist with the development of the companys strategy (if required) and help to create offers for marketing to existing and new accounts for the companys merchandising service.
* Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by e-mail, telephone or a personal visit if deemed necessary.
* Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support by maintaining regular contact with customers and updating internal personnel with all relevant information.
* Report weekly on activities and provide all sales progress information.
* Liaise with other company personnel when necessary to perform duties.
Scale indicators:
Core product range of four services price range circa £200 to £250 per day (team of 2) plus accommodation and travel costs.
Target sector:
Any independent or multi-site grocery retailers/wholesalers who have in excess of 50 personnel. Expected customer base increase is between 4 and 8 new customers pa.
The typical account value is £40k pa.
Total personal revenue accountability potentially £320k.
