Description of excel work: I run an online training academy that teaches people about robotic process automation (RPA). We have a workshop next Wednesday to help people build the business case for RPA, and I wanted to have a standard financial model that we can use for it.
The business value of RPA varies depending upon the process/es being automated.
Headcount - reduced headcount, replace heads with bots, reduced supervision
Bots/Licenses - no payroll taxes, benefits
No sickness, holidays
Reduced leakage e.g. payroll mistakes
Reduced property costs
Technology - need more infrastructure?
People - no hiring/training costs if team is high turnover
Switching out old team and adding in new team
Retained team freed up to concentrate on higher value activities
Faster processing of transactions - Cashflow impact, customer satisfaction
Lower errors - improved compliance, reduced audit costs, no cost of rework, customer satisfaction
Lower staff turnover - recruitment,
Costs - implementation, licenses, consulting, redundancy, training
Data - power of what you are sitting on
Improved on boarding of new staff
Faster recruiting of candidates
Need ROI and payback calculation
So I need a model that can capture 3-4 processes, and extrapolate from there into a full blown business case.
For each process we'd select the variables that applied, have entry boxes for the key variables needed e.g. volumes, headcount, cost of people (now and future) etc. and timeline for implementation and operation.
We'd then have a way of saying that there are actually 20 processes so the business case gets multiplied up.

Perhaps Edward you could look to have a dial in presentation too? As far as I know this could be effected just by a laptop, possibly with an onsite powerpoint the dial in would talk to/at?
