I am a high level executive search consultant with 20 years experience, based between home in the West Country and London business base.
My assignments are exclusive retained 'headhunts' - my clients me to search for and actively fill difficult vacancies. Like many consultants who work alone I can be quickly 'fully booked' with assignments and I then have to use all my time on the project. The problem is when I am busy I working I haven't had the time to invest in lead generation - when the work is complete I am back to square one.
So I am looking for some regular help to boost my lead generation (which I do myself at the moment) by making speculative approaches to senior directors. I have a proven system using mostly known contacts -calls will be following up personal letters, so it's not cold-calling. This is not a 'have you any vacancies' type approach, either. I will provide a very detailed briefing as to how to make the approach and also how to handle 99% of responses.
My clients are household names and big brand manufacturers with complicated structures and lots of layers. I need a high-level (senior) sales person bright enough to engage with very senior managers (mostly directors) in a subtle and intelligent manner - to identify potential new assignments for me. Many of the people we approach either are -or could become- candidates one day. Although there will be lots of people who will be hard to get to speak to (and so I need clever receptionist-handling and lots of personal warmth) very few are unreceptive to a headhunters call once you do get through.
You will be someone who has complete confidence on the phone, who does not need a script to work from, who is dedicated and who will work through my lists patiently and thoroughly.
I only need lead generation, once you have established that there is an opportunity and some basic details the lead can be passed to me for developing into something.
Ideally I would like you to be based somewhere along the South West corridor between Exeter and West London.
The work can be done in chunks of either a few days per month, a few hours per day, or a day or two per week and for the right person I will be happy to underwrite a minimum amount of time on an indefinite ongoing basis if it suits .
I will pay a good hourly rate for the right person, as a guide an experienced full-time researcher doing this job could earn up to £50,000 in London.
I may also consider a bonus for any leads that do develop into assignments if this acts as a good incentive.
