Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am looking for an experienced freelance public relations professional to help me on a campaign by campaign basis. Criteria sought below:-
* experienced at writing excellent press releases (I will want to see examples)
* Obviously an able writer, with an excellent command of corporate English
* excellent phone manner (for follow up calls)
* an understanding of the media and how to pitch to journalists/editors
* highly motivated, enthusiastic and willing to learn
* able to turn around copy and amends quickly and professionally (even though you are a freelancer and work for others, I will expect to be number one! Or be made to feel as though I am number one!)
* an ideas\' person, who has drive, energy and who lives and breathes PR as I do
This is not a full-time role, and would suit a professional freelancer who works for multiple clients, and is happy to work with me on campaigns as they come in. I am looking for someone with some experience - it could be a second or third role in PR; someone who is trying to build up their own freelance concern, and porfolio.
I would prefer someone local to me (Cambridge, UK), although the best person for the job is more important than where they live.
A little about me; I run a UK-based, PR agency specialising in international public relations. My business is growing, and I would like to train a talented professional to fill my shoes, as I grow the business.
What\'s extremely important to me is attitude and aptitude! If you have natural talent as a writer, and know how to squeeze that all-important angle out of pages and pages of corporate candyfloss and jargon, I want to hear from you. If you\'ve got all that, and the right type of attitude, we\'ll get along famously.
