Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hi there!!
We'd like a promotional video as below. Please quote.
1. W pierwszej kolejności poproszę o informację odnośnie terminu, na który animacja musiałaby być gotowa.
13.01.2017
2. In the video we’d like to see:
Mr Beam is a structural steel fabricating company. The video will show frustrations our clients are going through, as well as an innovative solution to them MrBeam offers.
Duration and content
The video will ba about 3 mins long. But that’s only an indication. We are not bound by any time frame. We are more concerned about the content. WE want to make sure that the video is received by the client on an emotional level.
3. Target Market
A Builder. Small projects. Loft conversions and side/rear extensions. Not developers and large building companies.
4. Chosen graphics style.
We’ve not chosen a specific style in which to portray the information, although we do know that it needs to be clear and to the point, not sophisticated or chaotic. Simple.
5. Script
We’ve not yet decided on the what the voiceover will say, although we do already have a script. More below.
Colours
Our logo uses the following colours: HEX: Yellow ffc905, White ffffff, Blue 19459c
6. Use of video
We would like to display the video in the office, at the waiting area + on trade shows + online on website.
Additional information:
Mr Beam is a newly formed company specialising in structural steel fabrication. We’ll offer a new and never before seen way of ordering steel by the builders. The traditional method of ordering steel is:
1 Builder sends rough structural engineer’s plans of the build-to-be to the steelwork fabricator
2 The fabricator replies In a couple of days with a rough quote
3 The builder starts the build and is measuring the widths and heights of the steels-to-be. This is often very frustrating and resembles more guestimating than accurate measurements. That’s where most of the problems with steelwork occur. He needs to estimate where the steels will start and stop, while the walls are still in place. He cannot remove them as the building will collapse.
4 The builder send the measurements to the fabricator and waits from 3 to 7 days for delivery. While he waits for the steels, the entire project is on hold as the builder is unable to do anything else. While he’s waiting for steel – the job stops.
5 Steel arrives on site. Now, the builder can remove the walls where the steelwork will in insterned into, just to realise his original measurements are wrong. This means that the steelwork needs to be re-fabricated on site or returned to the fabricator, causing more delays and lost money.
Mr Beam was created to stop the traditional cycle, and eliviate risk of mistakes and frustrations. Our process of ordering steel is:
1 The builder will remove the wall where the steel will be inserted.
2 The builder takes EXACT measurements of required steels. No guestimating,
3 The builder logs in online and enters the exact dimensions, and purchases steel online.
4 The steel is delivered next day.
5. He saved time and money. Happy client
We want to encourage the builders to order more complicated steel projects as multiple deliveries. Order as you need – for next day , not everything in advance as lead times are sometimes in weeks.
THE VIDEO:
The video will consist of 3 sections.
1 – The problem.
Measuring while the building still stands
Other builders that are on site are just standing around doing nothing waiting for the steel to arrive. The builder needs to pay them for doing nothing. Lost time = Lost labour = Lost profit
Large number of beams = no space to store them on site
Long lead times
Steel is heavy and uncomfortable. Requires a lot of man power to move and lift (min. 5 people)
Writing on the wall.
Guestimating. Additionas, Mistakes, Which way do the joists go, thicknes of screed, hidden treasure chest under the building.
Workers are standing and waiting. On facebook, brushing away. They want to work, but can’t – there’s no steel.
On hold – Brick layer, carpenter, plestereer, windows, painter, carpets, home owner with child.
Builder thinking – rest is waiting. Becoming more desperate, more frustrated, more impatient.
Time flies by
The builders goes outside, on the street to look for delivery – it’s empty.
“If only I could measure when everything’ exposed”
2 – The solution
WE answer all of his frustrations with MrBeam.
Even the most complicated project can be split into manageable chunks
Repetitive service you can rely on
Remove (wall) – measure – order – install = SIMPLE
Steel in 24 hrs
No delays on site
No waiting for steel
Order as and when needed
Add perceived value

Hi, Do you have existing clients that you can film/interview? Where is the factory/fabricator? An emotive video is best achieved with a live action film showing real clients etc Cheers, Ben
