Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am a start up business. I will be providing one-day workshops and 5-day retreats aimed at women (for now) who have struggled with their weight over the years and are fed up and just want to live a normal life. The message is about health, fitness, self esteem, body image, and normalising the relationship with food.
I have a website, which you will see is a self-written cobbled together, temporary get-me-going version, until I can afford something more professional looking.
I have a facebook page and have been running a FB ad campaign for about 5 weeks, and achieved just under 900 likes. I've recently launched a newsletter (mailchimp) from the website and FB page, with discounts (and competitions to come) on seminars etc, but only had 5 people sign up so far.
I have just (a few days ago) added a second FB add directly promoting my seminars, that takes people directly to the seminar page on my website, but click rate is slow so far.
I also have a blog. This has not been going very long and hasn't attracted much of a following.
My workshops will be run around the country, the first one scheduled in Manchester in mid-May (so no pressure then!). I am concerned that the pipeline I have set up is not yet delivering bookings (one so far, from a newsletter subscriber) and am thinking about more traditional marketing/promotion/PR. However, I have a limited budget and need to get maximum bang for my buck.
