Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
Harry Shapiro, my father, came to this country at 14. When he arrived, he had to go to work right away to support himself. He never did go to school, not here or in Europe where he came from. He also couldn't speak a word of English when he landed on our shores. However, by the time he'd reached his late 20s, he was a millionaire.

For years, people bugged me to write a book on how he did it. I finally did. It's called Harry Shapiro's Legacy and it comprises a treasury of business wisdom and success in business maxims explaining how he did it.

It's occurred to me that there are, perhaps, millions of Hispanics in the same boat -- they came to America to make good but are having a hard time because they lack training or an education.

And it makes no difference whether they're running their own business, trying to start a new one, working for someone else, looking to change jobs, looking for a new job, or even trying to climb the corporate ladder. Which is where reading Harry Shapiro's Legacy comes in -- it could make the difference for them between success and failure.

If you have experience getting stories into the Press, especially Hispanic newspapers/sites etc then let me know.

Can you do it?

Thanks.

Dr. Shapiro
