High-tech, growing company seeks freelancer with media relations and marketing communications experience. Position requires a self-starter who is not afraid of taking initiative and wants to gain experience in a variety of PR & marketing communications activities.

Responsibilities will include:
- Daily proactive and reactive media pitching, tracking
- Media list building and management (Cision experience a plus)
- Press release writing and editing
- Abstract writing for speaking opportunities at industry events
- Social media tracking and management (company blog, facebook, twitter)
- Event planning and coordination for industry tradeshows
- Corporate presentation design, writing and editing
- Marketing collateral writing and editing
- General administrative support including answering phones

Skills/Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or related fields
- At least 2 years experience in public relations, preferably in technology
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technology concepts
- Familiarity with social media and interacting with bloggers
- Positive attitude, entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility

£150-200 a day depending on experience / 2 days a week to work in Central London
