Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: Distribution
Description of requirements/functionality: I have another change I need to make to this script. it is very small. can you send the required info to start?
I need add the set the ClientName to = $hostname - Just need to add this option need to leave everything else like it is
So if I run a SET command at a dos prompt I will see the variable
of ClientName= what is in the $hostname which references the $hostname = (Get-ItemProperty hkcu:\$RegKey).ViewClient_Machine_Name
Write-Host "Registry key value is - " $hostname
. I have attached the script you did for me before.
$RegKey ="Volatile Environment\"
Cd hkcu:\$RegKey
#here user will provide Name of registry entry for which he wants to get value
$hostname = (Get-ItemProperty hkcu:\$RegKey).ViewClient_Machine_Name
Write-Host "Registry key value is - " $hostname
#-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Copy-Item -Path "\\cscb-cifs\cifs_root\VDI\Teller\Ooltewah\$hostname.ini" -Destination 'C:\Users\Public\Rocket Software\LegaSuite Windows Client\7.2456.1.34\production\legasuite.ini'
Copy-Item -Path "\\cscb-cifs\cifs_root\VDI\Teller\Ooltewah\$hostname.WS" -Destination 'C:\Users\Public\Desktop\Teller.WS'
OS requirements: Windows
