Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Seasons greetings!
PHP developers with experience working within the Symfony framework are required to work on a range of projects in the first few months of 2009 and beyond.
Our company is based in London, but applicants would be expected to work from home. Meetings can be arranged in London to discuss briefs, milestones and designs.
We have a number of projects under way and applicants that prove their ability to work quickly and produce a high standard of code will receive a steady stream of work for the foreseeable future.
Applicants should provide links to projects they have worked on in the past as well as answers to the following questions:
1) What is your hourly rate?
2) How many projects have you delivered in PHP?
3) How many projects (or how many hours) have you delivered (or spent working) in Symfony (total)?
4) How many projects/hours have you delivered/worked in Symfony 1.1?
5) How many projects/hours have you delivered/worked in Symfony 1.2?
6) Which ORMs have you worked with, and what is your experiece level with each of them?
7) Which is more important: Code that runs 5% quicker or DRY code?
8) What is your experience with and philosophy when it comes to writing unit and functional tests for your code?
9) Do you have experience writing code in any of the following areas (none of these are a requirement, but may be useful on some projects):
- Worldpay integration
- PayPal integration
- Flickr API
- Flash video streaming
- CSS
- Delivering video to mobile devices
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
