Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
We are a niche Bangalore-based consulting firm specializing in the use of scientific, quantitative techniques for performance engineering and diagnosis of IT systems (software products and business-critical enterprise applications). We are looking for folks experienced in IT business development to generate opportunities for us in the UK and Europe. To begin with we're looking at a role that is commission-based, though this can change later.

You would operate by establishing contact with senior IT decision-makers at the Director/VP/CIO level who you know have an ongoing struggle with the performance of their applications and systems, and motivate them to connect with us via email or a call. Once we connect, we can take over much of the actual selling. At this point in time we are very aggressive about pursuing opportunities and require a mature, seasoned candidate to do this job. Therefore we are offering a very healthy referral fee/commission which is exactly 50% of our consulting fee per assignment you bring in. Specifically, if you get us as little as 1 person-month of work per month, your commission will be a minimum of UKP6000 per month. More information on this structure will be provided to serious candidates, including an explanation of why we are willing to offer such a hefty fee (which is obviously related to why we think this role is difficult).

When you place a bid please indicate clearly what insight or knowledge you have about performance engineering in the context of IT systems. Please state, for example:
- Why you think capacity planning is such a great challenge for most IT organizations
- Why you think performance-tested applications often fail to perform after deployment

Thanks for your interest!
