Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the business: Property Development
Description of requirements/functionality: Hi
I need a Oracle SQL to track source field changes . The Target would be Slowly Changing dimension SCD 2. Please see the attached excel as it is self explanatory. The changes to source data are highlighted in blue cells in the spreadsheet.
The expectation of the target data is also displayed in the spreadsheet where the record till change is captured with end date and the most recent change captured and open dated with end date of 31/12/9999. Please see the Group_Key and the Current_Flag to see the pattern expected as well.
Please also note that in the example I have given a simple representation of source. There will be multiple contact types and under each contact there can be multiple association. For example in the sample data shown in the spreadsheet I have shown two 'CHILD' at the same time. It would be one or more than 2 as well . There could be other Contact Types such as Spouse, Dependents etc.
Once the logic is derived it should work for any number of contact types.
If the SQL gets too complex it could be achieved using a piece of pl/sql code as well.
Once the Job is awarded I would need the first cut of the SQL to be tested in about 2 days please.
Thanks
Specific technologies required: Oracle 11g

Hi,
Do you have an screenshot of the data model?
