Recently established Birmingham based, music, lifestyle and youth culture magazine is looking for the right media sales personnel to drive the magazine forward and kickstart a rapid growth in advertising sales.
A number of leads and existing customers will be provided, but we are looking for a confident self-starter who can spot the opportunities for gaining new clients and plan ahead to secure sales to meet monthly deadlines.
The publication focuses on music and lifestyle and is distributed across the West Midlands. The right person should have proven experience of advertising sales, preferably in a regional or similar publication and should have an established list of contacts to call on, particularly established media buying agencies. Hours and working arrangements are flexible, the right person can base themselves in our office, at home, or a combination of the two.
A good understanding of modern music, nightlife and how it fits in with modern media is essential.
This will initially be a commission-only sales role, with commission payments of up to 25 per cent of revenue, plus bonuses, with OTE of £500 to £1,500 and above depending on impact and hours worked. Potential for higher earnings with future growth.
The right candidate could also be required to sell some of our other products and marketing opportunities, increasing their potential earnings.
Proven experience highly preferred, but confident graduates considered.
