Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hi, my name is Andreas, I'm leading a media agency in Germany.
We currently offer a Matchmove job that needs to be done immediately. Extra money if you can solve the bonus problem (see 'BONUS') or perform additional tasks. Follow-up jobs too.
#---
The brief job description:
A Matchmove job. Camera tracking is needed for two 1080p25 shots (hand-held camera / dark studio environment / each approx. 700 frames long / most of the time no large camera movement but sometimes quite fast pans) to allow me to replace two real 2 meter cubes with virtual ones. The camera moves across the studio. No lens adaptions during the shots. The shots offer good details when brightened for tracking. There is some geometry in the studio to assist the tracking but no abundance of tracking points.
#---
My advice:
Please have a close look at the attachment of my job posting and reply if you will be able to track these 2 shots (Take 1 and 2) as described and how much hours you estimate for it. If you perform rotoscoping too, please reply if you could do the bonus and additional tasks as mentioned in the posting. That would be nice. I don't want to read offers that go like 'Take me, I'm the best (... but I haven't even looked at the clips to give a useful statement)', of course.
#---
The details:
YOU JOB:
1) tracking of the camera movement for the 2 shots ready for my import in AfterEffects together with 2 null objects for the centers of the (to be replaced) cubes
2) as proof of an acceptable solution a demo render for each shot where you overlayed 2 virtual cubes (see demo)
The final virtual cubes will be inserted by the Element3D plugin of Videocopilot.net, so if you own this plugin, please use 2 boxes instead of the 2 null objects.
EXPECTED QUALITY:
To get an idea of what the result should look like, watch the 3 demo videos of my attachment for another scene where the cubes get overlayed. You can see that they don't match perfectly but they move "reasonable/believable" to the human eye. That's what I need. So for the 2 shots your tracking needs to be at least that good.
BONUS:
In Scene 1 where is a 0,7m sized cube in the front. If your tracking is that perfect that as a result you can correctly place a square plane on the top surface or you track this surface seperately in order to corner pin a texture later on I pay for this job too.
FOLLOW-UP JOBS FOR YOU:
After this small project more jobs will go directly to you I you like (as a start there are 4 more shots to track in May).
ADDITIONAL JOB:
Do you also have the skills to rotoscope all objects/persons in the foreground of the 2m cubes using AfterEffects in high quality (to get used on cube replacements of any color)? If so, make me an offer for this job too.
