Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: I own a simple Delphi open source frontend program that wasn't programmed by me
http://www.quickplayfrontend.com/
Kind of development: Customization of existing program
Description of every module: The program allows users to search for retro-game roms on their hard-drive, play the games, and also allows faetures like attaching pictures and metadata to each game or system in a list
Description of requirements/functionality: The program was written using Borland Delphi 2006 IDE and WILL COMPILE - I have all the sources and necessary libs for compilation and others have compiled it successfully with these exact files against Delphi 2006 before. I would like a guide to compiling the program in Borland Delphi 2006 (which I have installed), OR preferably a guide to how to sucessfully compile it with the latest Delphi IDE possible. So: I want to know how to successfully compile it MYSELF so that I can make small fixes to the codebase (I am a graduate programmer, I just don't know Delphi). So:
*you need to get a working binary, then
*I need to have a guide that I follow, so that:
*I also get a working binary.
Specific technologies required: Delphi
Extra notes: basic instructions for compilation exist from the author and from those who have successfully compiled it since.
For instance: http://quickplay.sourceforge.net/index.php?title=sourcecode
(Further compilation instructions exist)The libraries needed and versions of each are all known and I have them.
