Hello,
We have a legacy application which is compiled and running on older Sun Cobalt Raq2 servers (RM5231 MPIS CPU). As this hardware is dated we would like to know if you have a migration route which would allow us to run the application binaries within a virtual machine on current x64 or MIPS CPU hardware.
* Hypervisor type (to run the virtual machine) any so long as the hypervisor is based on a Linux or BSD variant.
* Either a full system machine or process virtual machine is acceptable (we suspect the process virtual machine is the most viable route)
I know there will be lots of questions so please ask away as there is likely something I have missed.

Hi Richard,
Please can you provide detail of the applications you are running on this web server, it may be better to port the application to a new application server that supports the same langauge rather than virtualising the old Cobalt OS as it's a bit of a dinosaur and as far as I know it is very out of date (not good to be running I expect it has open critical CVEs), we need to discuss this further to establish the direction we should go before I can make a fixed price proposal.
Best Regards,
Rob
