Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are a dynamic and innovative media company specialising in the supply of first-class TV listings information on behalf of broadcasters, publishers and EPG providers.
We will soon be awarding a new contract to an IT company - which specialises in Macintosh computers and is London based - and are looking to employ an IT Project Manager to assist us in finding the perfect supplier. This is a 5-6 week contract, to be conducted on two working days per week (Monday and Tuesday) from the Global Listings offices in London EC1 (10am to 6pm).
The ideal candidate will be an IT/Mac expert with solid and proven project management experience. Reporting directly to our MD, you will oversee the selection process from Tender compilation and implementation to the point of appointing a new company and awarding the IT contract.
Your goal is to identify successfully an IT company that can fully support and fulfil all Global's IT requirements - from assisting staff with technical problems to fixing computer failures to server maintenance. As well as compiling a Tender Document, you will be expected to:
- conduct an initial round-table internal meeting with our management team in order to identify general and specific requirements as well as ongoing problems/issues with current IT support company
- identify three new potential suppliers, then manage a maximum of four IT companies throughout the Tender process (one of which will be our current IT support company)
- chair any relevant IT meetings with relevant companies
- manage all communications and the entire Tender process including responses
- provide an Executive Summary (written document) of Tender Results with a strong recommendation for which IT company GL should employ and why
- deliver desired results in line with GL's agreed budget and timelines
Applications will only be considered if they include all the following:
1. A covering letter that tells us why we should schedule an interview with you
2. A current CV
3. Details of your day rate
4. Indication of your availability (eg four weeks' notice)
