Hi,
I need a relatively simple database created for a school music department to track pupil's instruments played and grades obtained. I would basically just need the template for the database with a few example 'students' put in. The information to be stored includes:
- List of students in Year format with Student ID (e.g. Year 7 Form R)
- Instruments played by each student
- Grade achieved in aforementioned instrument
- Date of next exam (if applicable)
- Whether the student takes music lessons in school, and if so with whom
- In-school music clubs
- Extra-curricular musical activities
We would also like the ability to search by different criteria and show lists of students e.g. by instrument, grade or music teacher.
The data must be able to be automatically updated every year (or more often) to reflect pupils moving to a higher year etc.
There must be the ability to modify information and add new information.
Staff must be able to search for different sections of all of the information: for example, to be able to search by school years, grades or instrument. Therefore, it must be possible for a student to have more than one instrument.
Data for each student should be presented in a form that allows editing and adding new instruments or exams etc.
The system must be relatively easy to use as not all staff members are experienced in using ICT technology and systems.
