Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
General information for the business: Using PDNS to allow ENUM dips for both A&B numbers and want to refine database dip
Kind of development: Customization of existing program
Description of every module: Need to adjust current code to avoid having to have three different number formats populated in MySQL
Current set up uses below query
string query = "SELECT username FROM enum WHERE dn = \"" + dn + "\" ;";
- this means that need to populate MySQL with three potential number formats - +44xxxxx, 44xxxxx & 0xxxxx
Normally with RegEx would use something like - Expression ^(\(?\+?[0-9]*\)?)?[0-9_\- \(\)]*$
but as the current setup uses the dn as provided by the PDNS not clear how to run regex before or during DB query.
Description of requirements/functionality: Need to expand the number with RegEx or equivalent that is to be looked up in MySQL in order to reduce to one the number of entries in MySQL
OS requirements: Linux
Extra notes: Need to be clear that I am looking for a Power DNS back end extension literate developer
See https://doc.powerdns.com/html/backend-writers-guide.html - prior experience helpful
