Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: I need a log file analysed and line breaks added
Description of requirements/functionality: I have a .txt file with 835 log entries. Each entry looks like:
File : D:\ftp\ftp_1_2_let\jupix2015042719502511.BLM (_101094000721) failed to upload successfully and could not be saved as a draft.
Reasons: BRANCH_ID not supplied. Property cannot be fed. (FAIL)LET_DATE_AVAILABLE (Date for when the property is available for rent) not supplied, defaulted to today. LET_BOND (Deposit for property) not supplied, defaulted to 0. LET_TYPE_ID not supplied, default to default to Long Term (1) LET_FURN_ID not supplied, defaulted to Not Specified. LET_RENT_FREQUENCY not supplied, defaulted to monthly. TRANS_TYPE_ID supplied as sales Property (1) (FAIL)
I need line breaks added to it so that the above is returned to me like:
File : D:\ftp\ftp_1_2_let\jupix2015042719502511.BLM (_101094000721) failed to upload successfully and could not be saved as a draft.
Reasons:
BRANCH_ID not supplied. Property cannot be fed. (FAIL)
LET_DATE_AVAILABLE (Date for when the property is available for rent) not supplied, defaulted to today.
LET_BOND (Deposit for property) not supplied, defaulted to 0.
LET_TYPE_ID not supplied, default to default to Long Term (1)
LET_FURN_ID not supplied, defaulted to Not Specified.
LET_RENT_FREQUENCY not supplied, defaulted to monthly.
TRANS_TYPE_ID supplied as sales Property (1) (FAIL)
Essentially, it is a line break added before each of the items in capital letters and after the "Reasons:" bit
File is in .txt part of it is attached.
I would prefer it to be a linux command line tool so that I can combine it in future with a further part of my script.
Once the first version is delivered, I will require another iteration required when I analyse it.
OS requirements: Linux
Extra notes:
Here is an example of what I'm looking to get back:
