Description
Description of requirements/features: We need to demo a very simple mock HTML5 game to a client in order to convince them we can do the work, they are commissioning this regardless of go ahead.
We will be making the banner in Google Web Design with the expandable state ready for the game to be inserted.
However we don't know if it is best to have the game in the ad or whether the user is sent off to an external website to play the game, this is something we need to be advised on.
The game...
The aim of the game is to catch a falling ticket and win the main prize. There will be many tickets falling from the top of the html5 canvas.
After the user catches the ticket they will be prompted to fill in their details and submit for entry.
There will only be one winner, so each ticket doesn't need to have a value at this stage as I think all the entries will be randomly selected from the form submission.
So this stage what we need is an interactive mockup, so not a fully functioning game. This literally just needs to be a point and click with a contact form.
The falling confetti/ticker tape effect needs to be similar in animation to this

...but on an solid gold background.
when the user clicks a ticket, a gold ticket is pulled from the air and the entry form is overlayed ready for the user to fill in.
Would you be able to give us a ball-park quote based on the above brief, we currently have no designs, but the banner will be similar ot this in format http://dev.gdn.tsadvertising.co.uk/SWAS300003_ECA_Campaign/expandable-video/SWAS300003_ECA_Campaign_EXPANDABLE.html
… but without the video

Hi Chris
Thanks for the invitation. I would like to clarify what you require for the mock up.
1. To display the falling tickets (similar to video, falling from a single point and including rotation?)
2. When any part of canvas is clicked a form is opened.
Thanks
CliveChris A.12 Jan 2017Hi Clive
Thanks for getting back to me.
1. Yes, tickets should fall as if like confetti if possible, but as this is a demo it can be 2D without rotation.
2. Ideally I would like each ticket clickable, infact there's been a change to this whereby we want the user to be able to collect as many tickets as possible within a certain timeframe. once the clock stops the users score is present with a form for them to fill in and submit.
Is this the kind of thing that could work inside an expandable banner or would it need to sit on an external URL?
Regards
ChrisClive F.12 Jan 2017Hi Chris
It could work on an expandable banner but how well it performs will likely depend on what content is on the rest of the page (There is no technical reason why the canvas can't expand out of the banner). It is something we can easily test though.
On another note, I think even the demo will cost more than your listed budget.
Thanks
Clive
