Description
Industry: Lifestyle/Travel
Description of support work: We have a spreadsheet with guest information on it that needs to be put into the right format for our new system.
There are 414 lines to go through
All of the data/cells need to be checked for the following errors/issues:
• Make sure no symbols other than hyphens are in the data (please check the cells by clicking into them – one of them appears as “-“ then the number and when you click into it is has “=60 etc.)
• Remove the apostrophe marks from the beginning of the numbers, you can’t see them when you look at the spreadsheet as a whole but if you click in a cell you can see it is there at the top.
• Check the address data, for example, one person I noticed who was in Bangkok has a country of United States
• Postcodes to only have post codes in them for the moment, if something else please move into state or city.
• Columns for addresses are Street, City, Postcode and Country so please condense Address 2 column into another column.
• Separate landline numbers from mobile numbers into "home" and "phone".
Extra notes: All of the information contained within this spreadsheet is confidential - the person undertaking this work will need to have some form of data protection and agree in writing that the information contained within the spreadsheet is not shared with anyone. Apologies if I am stating the obvious but this is the first time I have offered work out like this.
once complete I would need to get someone to check that it works as an upload and if not, it may need to be tweaked to ensure that it does.

Hi,
A few questions.
Is this a one-off data conversion or are you likely to want to repeat the process?
Is your new system SQL based?
How will you be importing the data to the new system and how was it extracted from the old?
When you say that it is in a "Spreadsheet" do you mean that it is an XLS file or is it a CSV that you are viewing in Excel?
I would also like to see some sample data.
Best Regards

Hello Tracey-Anne,
More than happy to undertake this project for you. Can you give me some indication of your budget though.
Happy to sign an NDA, but you can be assured my full time employment is one of Trust & Security. Your information will be safe with me, and will only be kept for the duration of the project.
Sample data (A few lines 5 to 10) would give me a better understanding of the problems with your data. On the second sheet if you could clearly label your anticipated return data requirements.
Regards
Tony H
