Experience Level: Intermediate
Our Tech Development Team is looking for a bright, happy, approachable front end developer who will be responsible for developing & supporting the front end code of the lovemoney.com website on a 6 month FTC to cover maternity leave.
While this is first and foremost a coding role, a good appreciation of design aesthetics and a working knowledge of design tools is important.
Additionally, new project work is undertaken as part of a cross functional agile delivery team so ability to collaborate well with non-coders is key.
Primary Responsibilities
Write bug free, cross browser compliant front end code for the lovemoney.com website
Maintain & evolve a code structure optimised for reuse & download efficiency
Production of graphical artefacts and email templates
Core Competencies
CSS and (X)HTML including compliance across different platforms/browsers
PhotoShop for web production
Bonus Skills
JavaScript/AJAX/JQuery
Familiarity with ASP.net
Experience of SVN / version control systems
Preferred Qualities
Happy to follow design vision as directed by the User Experience Manager
Works well with technical and business people alike
Flexible, embraces change
Strong interest in technology
Self starter able to break down tasks and produce accurate effort estimates
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Happy to work in a Microsoft Windows Environment
