Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: Fortran to Java conversion
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of requirements/features: We have a legacy Fortran code of roughly 1500 lines (includes braces, newlines, etc). We need this to be converted to Java, one simple program with meaningful functions and comments. This program is mainly taking an input data in file format and transforming it to something very meaningful. If you can convert the program to something like Map & Reduce it will give us a better idea and in the future we can look at using MapReduce too.
Just so you know, there isn't any complex stuff and most of the code is simple one liners, there are so many lines as it's written by non programmer. But a good developer like yours can optimize it and bring it down to 200 or 500 lines max.
If you are interested, please submit a fixed price bid.
By placing bid you agree to keep all the infomation shared is kept confidential and you will NOT share with anyone. And all the code you develop/produce will be our property subjected to payment clearance, etc.
Specific technologies required: Fortran and Java
Extra notes:
