We have end of day data (csv format) for the financial markets going back on average around 10 years. This data includes the daily open, high, low and close for each trading day of the year. We would like to automatically analyse this data for many different markets within excel in order to produce a summary.
The summary would be able to identify trends including the strongest and weakest days of any given week, month, quarter and year and list them accordingly for any market we choose.
For example we may want to know what percentage of days are up and down for each trading day of the month and then compare this across all months in order to find the strongest days and weakest days of each month, quarter.
The summary would also be able to calculate the difference between the high and low for each trading day, week and month.
