Description
Reposting an earlier job I had to cancel... if you bid before, or sent a message, feel free to do so again.
I'm getting a team of finance writers together for a project.
Details to be finalised, but budget likely to be in the region of £12-15 per 1,000 words, and topics in areas such as reviewing brokers/financial institutions and binary trading.
This is an ongoing job and represents the chance for the right writers to earn weekly for the foreseeable.
UK writers only, with previous experience in financial writing. Please show any examples you may think helpful.
Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.

Is this still likely to go ahead Richard?

I note that you are only open to UK writers. Would you consider an Irish writer (I'm based in Dublin, native English speaker). If so, I will send a proposal
Richard T.01 Sep 2017Hi,
Sure. Pop a bid in and some examples, and I'll take a look.
RichAnna M.01 Sep 2017Thanks Richard, I put in a bid. I have numerous writing samples attached to my profile. You will see that I write on a variety of topics including finance. I have had some work published also.

Hi,
I appreciate the invite to bid for this job. I'm afraid at the rate you've specified, it would not be remotely attractive or viable for me.
If you could clarify/improve the offer given the amount of time and research this job is likely to require, then I'd be happy to bid.
All the best. -
Any idea Richard when the first of these pieces, or the first batch of articles wll be due by?
Richard T.23 Aug 2017Hi.
I'm not sure yet. The thorough brief will be finalised soon, but do feel free to put a bid in.
Thanks.Francis E.23 Aug 2017I'll ask again when I have time Rich. It's just that I have some spare time pre BH weekend but booked out a little when my regular clients return from somewhere warm and exotic next week..

Thanks for the invite Richard, and you'll certainly need a decent writer on complex products. I'm afraid the rate is so utterly off the charts that there is no hope of getting anyone who even knows what one of those instruments is.
-
Researching, writing and proofreading 1,000 words is likely to take at least 2 hours, which means that your rates work out at less than minimum wage unless I've misunderstood the proposal. Can you clarify please?
-
Thanks for the invite, but is there any room for manoeuvre in your budget? £12-£15 for 1000 words of intermediate content doesn't represent realistic figures and, in addition, this is a very specialised niche. Thanks in advance.
Richard T.23 Aug 2017Hi. Pop in a bid, and we can chat more. Thanks.

Is it £15 per hour or £12-15 per 1000 words, because these two budget don't equate? The research alone for an in-depth 1000 word financial article would take more than an hour.

Do you think that these Rates of Pay are for Intermediate Writers? They are absolutely appalling.
