Design details: We are looking for an experienced design engineer to support our busy product design studio through a period of growth. Our office is a lively and pleasant place to work and is made up of young creatives working on a range of projects across multiple industries, typically injection moulded technology products.
The role is 9 - 5:30 Monday-Friday and we are looking for somebody who can work on-site in Bristol. Workstation and Solidworks license will be provided. A high level of proficiency with Solidworks is essential. We are envisaging this lasting for 1-2 months and there is also potential for a permanent position or an on-going contract at the end if that is desirable.
We are somewhat flexible on work days and times so long as work is delivered on time and we may award this to multiple freelancers, but due to confidentiality all work must be carried out onsite. Please only apply if you can work on-site in Bristol.
We are looking for a freelancer who is highly proficient in Solidworks and has a lot of experience with designing parts for injection moulding and taking products through to manufacture.
The role includes:
-Producing concept sketches and ideas based on research and client feedback
-Taking concepts forward to manufacture ready CAD using Solidworks
-Creating feasible designs which are based on sound engineering knowledge and prinicples
-Working with large and complex CAD assemblies in Solidworks
-Producing photorealistic renderings using Keyshot
-Producing manufacturing files and technical drawings to a high standard
