Experienced Bookkeeper for adhoc and possibly regular work

Experience Level: Intermediate
I require the services of an experienced freelance bookkeeper or service provider ideally based in either London (North-East / East or Central) or West Yorkshire, although most of the work can be done remotely but I still want to be able to meet up occasionally if required.
You need to establish an effective bookkeeping, reporting and VAT process for my two small and young companies, possibly carrying on from where i left off a few months ago when I set up 2 accounts with a nice simple to use online system, but since then I have had no time to administer the accounts at all and I need help. An alternative method is also satisfactory as long as it does not require further system investment, even MS Excel is fine if done well and can be submitted for final year accounts purposes, etc.
The initial work involves in dealing with the backlog of receipts and invoices for the last company financial year, and preparing the books for the current accountant. Thereafter I am not decided yet whether I will continue with what you have set up and with your occasional input may be needed to keep things updated and ticking over, or alternatively it may be something requiring a fixed amount of work per month.
I am also applying for VAT registration for one of the companies and online submissions may need to be performed. There are not normally many sales per annum, but they tend to be higher value contracts and from overseas clients. Purchases tend to be small items to support the office, travel and accommodation, communications, website charges and similar, mostly purchased via personal credit card, company debit card or via paypal or both.
To summarise, the quote needs to consider 2 aspects of work:
1. the initial setup and clearing of last year backlog
2. ongoing monthly / quarterly / year-end input
I look forward to reviewing the bids. The lowest price bid will not necessarily be the one chosen, I am primarily looking for experience, quality and efficiency. The hourly rate that I showing is very very variable because of that, and I am also happy to consider reviewing a daily rate longer durations of work, if appropriate.
