Description
Experience Level: Expert
On this particular project we've invested quite a chunk of time building the site, so we need to try and retain that. It uses alot of jquery and looks really slick, the client LOVES it but our freelance developer has let us down.
We have to keep the idea behind this website confidential.
The website will be a product which is made up of 3 parts, the first part you choose in step 1, it then visually shows you your selection, you then go to step 2 (the choices in step 2 depend on the choice you made in step 1 etc, there are 3 steps, you then click complete and add to cart.
We need a programmer to add the required code to the static pages we have built, so you need to be a good php developer etc.
Website Admin
Ability to add / delete / edit categories (types of the product)
Ability to add / delete / edit product and assign to category
Ability to add main product image, zoom product image and image for visual product build
Upload & delete images in *.jpg, *.png or *.gif format
Ability to add and amend shipping costs for each item / country
Website Front End
Browse by category (types of product)
Hover over the image box to display product info on right
Zoom via small magnifying glass (currently shown on top left image of tab 1)
Click cable to select and update top product visuals
Ability build full product and add to cart
Secure payments via the Paypal payment gateway (external payment pages)
**Basically this works with jquery tabs and scroll, the categories are jquery tabs, the window to the right then lists the thumbnails and to the far right is the info, price etc when the mouse hovers over a thumbnail, when the thumbnail is clicked, it places an image of the step 1 part of the product in the visual 'build' image above the selection box.**
Optional - quote as extra cost
Automatic printing of invoice / delivery sheets
Order status notification (emails sent to customers upon order status change)
Customers personalised control panel
Order history with current order progress
FAQ and testimonials to be CMS
Key Points
If a customer drifts off to the faq page or somewhere while on step 1 or 2 etc then their selection must be remembered, it is cleared when 'adding to cart' so they can build another product if they wish
Development needs to start as soon as possible, more details will be discussed with the chosen developer
