I would like to start an online super store. To start with I will use Doba (www.doba.com) to upload my products and will therefore need to work with a compatible shopping cart such as Magento (MagenPro). You can also see on the Doba website which others are compatible, but I saw quite a few designers on this site know Magento.
I will be promoting my site via a blog. I am familiar with Wordpress so would like to stick to that if possible. Currently my blog has 20 SQL databases with WP installed to enable me to have the type of blog I want. The idea was to have each category separate so I can change the widgets/template to be relevant to each category. Dont want add for pet food on site for candles :-) The theme I'm currently using is suppose to be SEO optimised, so I would like to use that and can give you the files. Obviously you would know if anything is worth adding to it to make it even better.
I would also like a storefront for Ebay although if the quote price for the package is too high to start with, I might add this at a later stage. The idea is to have these different components branded and have the same look and feel. This is a brand new site and I will therefore need a logo design as well please.
Dont know if I am overly ambitious, but I like the layout and ease of use of sites such as John Lewis. I dont want to copy the exact same site though. The idea of lots of pictures and widgets to promote products appeal to me. I like colour. I think if each different category have a different colour that would be great, but I am not too hung up on that.
I would like to get an idea of how much this will cost as soon as possible. I am not sure how long it takes to put all of this together, but the sooner the better. Will discuss timeframe with designer.
Thank you very much for your interest. Looking forward to hear from you.
