Estimated project duration: Ongoing
You will work closely with the Learning & Curriculum Manager and an E-Learning Designer to turn learning materials into engaging and interactive e-learning courses for our customers. You will need to have a deep understanding in, and ability to produce courses with great user experience (UX). You will work remotely and communicate with the team via Skype, although our Birmingham office is available for to work from if you wish. Key responsibilities
• You will design online learning that is contemporary, interactive and engaging and based on instructional design principles.
• You will work closely with our E-learning designer and will participate in workshops and briefs via Skype.
• You will use an agile model of project management and work quickly with frequent feedback.
• You will take responsibility for the educational content and navigational structure as well as practical elements like typography, visuals, video, animation and printed materials.
Ideal candidate’s skills summary:
• You will design in a creative, imaginative way to produce easy to use materials.
• You will be able to organise and present visual information.
• You will generate ideas, concepts and storyboards and turn them into powerful learning materials.
• You will have good creative writing skills and will be able to adapt raw materials for online.
• You will have a variety of practical video, design, illustration and multimedia skills.
• You will be making persuasive presentations and pitches.
• You will be able to organise your work, and get the most from yourself and others.
You will be paid based on course completion and work to a time scale to suit yourself once you have seen each course that needs designing.
