Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: Wordpress website
Description of requirements/features: Trying to find a solution to fix a hacked site. It appears to be some regeneration spam hack that injects malicious redirect code into 1 of 3 specific files: index.php, /wp-includes/functions.php or /wp-content/themes/{theme}/functions.php. The redirect only happens on search engine result links and never going directly to URL. We can find the redirect code and get rid of it to have the results link normally, but appears to come back. This task was previously given to a provider who said they understood the scope of work, but wounded up just installing security and scanning plugins. We don't need that, we need someone to find the source and fix it to where it doesn't regenerate again.
