Looking for a motivated individual to conduct a short web-based desktop research on energy system optimization (see below for details). Successful candidate would have to be a fast-learner, with ideally some knowledge on renewable energy.
The final product would be a list of academic literature articles and web articles on the topic as well as a short (50-100 words) summary for each source. The document should also list companies/organizations involved in research on the topic or experimentations. Sources should be quoted using academic standards (see: http://www.library.cornell.edu/resrch/citmanage/mla#online)
The first task would be a five-hour research, to assess the quality of the researcher. If satisfactory, the project would be carried on for up to 10 hours.
Topic: Renewable Energy Systems Optimization (RESO) is defined as the various ways renewable energy technologies (wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, bioenergy) can interract with each other in order to maximize the reliability of renewable energy systems (including: electricity, heat and transport).
