Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
Information for the business: Electronic design
Industry: Technology
Design details: Hi, I would like you to prototype and develop a small Bluetooth transmitter and receiver PCB/PCA.
The job of the transmitter is to send a secure signal to the receiver which will have a number of functions specifically to turn a 7.4v DC motor for a programmed period of time.
The transmitter will be powered by a coin cell and must be as close to a coin cell diameter size as possible.
The receiver needs to be as small as possible as well but more importantly capable of being powered by a 7.4V rechargeable lithium ion battery, this is required to run the DC motor. It must contain a micro-controller that can be easily programmed. The PCA must be able to connect to a Micro USB charger to recharge the battery as well as contain all the required safety/protections features.
This project will be split into 4 phases.
Phase 1 - Cost out a BOM for an off the shelve easy/quick to prototype solution that can be programmed and tested quickly The prototypes must still be as small as possible to test. e.g Arduino etc Also assess if an already developed off the shelve commercial solution is available that will meet the requirements.
Phase 2 - Build/program 4 working and fully functional/reliable prototypes that can be tested in the field.
Phase 3 - Design and prototype a commercial/manufacturable solution based on the requirements and testing feedback.
Phase 4 - Complete development and provide all required files, software and schematics to allow a production batch to start. You will also be required to provide some debugging/testing support if issues occur.
Specific functions: -
Ability to pair with a transmitter to a receiver - ability to pair any transmitter with up to 3 receivers and vice versa - never looses sync unless reset
Transmitter -
Micro Push button On/Off - hold to pair
Receiver -
Micro On/off slider switch
Micro push button, hold to pair/reset
Micro push button set motor timing modes - pre-programmed
If you think you would be interested in working with me on this please get in touch. Id like to know what experience you have in PCB design as well as design for manufacturing.
Thanks
Jonathan
