I need help with building a database for my business. I am a mortgage adviser and I am looking to build a robust database.
I have a strong database of the business transactions I have done (in excel) and this about 900 transactions in 3 different tables (information differs based on the type of business done)
I am looking to have these imported. The problem is I don't have a customer database. I am looking to create a customer database and then link them to these 900 transactions (some customer have done multiple transactions with me - mortgages on more than 1 property, say life insurance etc)
I also want to add 2 more transaction database for future records only (did not capture them in the past) and of course I want to be able to add more transactions on the 3 tables I already have.
I want to create a simple vendor database as well as commission database and link them all.
Customer - Transaction, Transacttion - Vedor, Transaction to commission etc.
I have put together my thoughts in an excel file including the structure of the tables I will need. I thinking Ms Access will be the best way forward.
Given the size of the business (4 people), I don't really think this needs to be cloud-based at least not at this stage.

Good afternoon Sekkappan,
Can you confirm if this is just a single user, single access and single machine application?
Kind regards,
Carl.Sekkappan A.16 Mar 2018Thanks Carl. There will be effectively 2 users. 1 will be myself with unrestricted access and the other will be my team who will have limited access to end reports. All of this will sit on my computer and the team members can access this file from their computer (Shared network drive) and ofcourse only 1 person will work at 1 point in time.
SInce starting the proposal, I have now added more details and captured my thoughts and shared some table details in the attached excel sheet - thanks.
