Description
Experience Level: Entry
General information for the website: Lap times / motorsport results
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of requirements/features: I require a php statement writing using mysqli.
I have a number of competitors in my database who do lap times on a track. the lap times are stored at r1-r16.
I have another section p1-p16 (in the same table) which is for penalties. This will only have a Y in it if a penalty has been added to their time in r1-16.
r1 is lap 1. r2 is lap 2 etc etc. p1 is for a penalty related to r1 etc etc.
I want a statement to check if Y exists in p1 for r1, p2 for r2 etc.
My table that displays these times has cell background colour set at '$bg'. At the moment $bg = red. so all my table is red.
I want $bg = so that only where Y is present in p1-p16 to change the cell r1-r16 red.
