Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: Providing new age artists with an opportunity to become famous
Kind of development: New website from scratch
Description of every page/module: This whole idea will be based around the idea of providing a platform and database for new *upcoming* hip-hop/rap artists targeted to US demographics of African Americans ages 16-29yo.
Here in the US there is a major stereotype that all African Americans are rappers and trying to be the next great Drake, Lil Wayne, etc. I want to capitalize on this. While this might be morally questionable, this site will aim to give hope to becoming the next famous rapper.
Site income will be from promoted mixtapes from users and some ad placements. Further development will also include an Android and IOS app.
I have found some questionable competition at "datpiff.com", design is poorly laid out and there's ads covering everywhere. There is also mixtapemonkey.com and livemixtapes.com which aren't purely towards rapping/hip-hop.
Capitalizing on failure is the name of the game on this site. The users need to feel that promoting their next "great" album on this site will make them rich and famous. Demographics determine there needs to be quite a bit of instant gratification on the site. While rude, and some what heartless there's money to be made. I don't even really like rap or hip-hop but there is plenty of opportunity available within it.
There is PLENTY of information and demographics on African Americans here in the US, and while you're even from Poland I'm sure you are aware of the activity's also.
I have consulted with some very close friends and even my wife which typically isn't for any of my ideas, think this might be a real chance to make some serious legal money if done right with marketing and design.
I have intentions of having this in a HA configuration running with Vultr or DigitalOcean since they will scale beautifully with the site. I have some ideas on marketing but that'll come closer to the end.
Description of requirements/features: I will aim for full automation of services. Meaning that once a user pays to get their album promoted to the main page they will instantly have that gratification instead of some sort of manual verification.
Users will upload their album to the site which will need to be transcoded to a lower size format. MP4 seems to work great on all mobile devices and sites, sizes are quite small so space shouldn't be an issue. 192kbps seems to be best in terms of size and quality.
Extra services needed: Hosting, Installation, Customization, 3rd party integration, Optimization, Security
Extra notes:

Hi Nathan,
Are you available for a quick Skype call today? I have worked specifically in this area before and have some ideas to put to you - but budget is going to be the issue so want to discuss.
Best wishes
Joe -
Nathan, I have accepted the NDA.
Does this also require a development OR just designs?
