An architectural duo is seeking to build a brand, start a company within the design & built environment. This brief is for our naming strategy. We are settling first in the APAC region, thus bilingual individuals/ agencies fluent in Chinese (mandarin), copywriters and hungry/ creatives are welcome to apply.
Our values are individual/ tailored, solutions, quality, technology and experimentation. Or, tailored experiences and solutions that are defined through technology retaining the quality and standards that are applied through research and contemporary solutions. Think of ‘digital nomads’ coming together in union while retaining their flexibility.
Our current design programme is comprised of minimal white shades symbolizing a blank canvas. The aim is to have a stable and reassuring beginning.
We have started to brainstorm the name and we have a few ideas about it:
1. simple and easy to remember
2. short 3-10 characters and no more than 3 separate words
3. have a domain name with at least a .net address .com preferable
4. do not use offensive words in other languages
5. easy to pronounce globally
6. do not include the words ‘arch’, ‘studio’ or ‘office’ in the name
7. perhaps it might be able to be separate words and when coming together, forming another one (i.e. BIG architecture is an abbreviation of Bjarke Ingles Group Architecture)
Initially, we are looking for 2-hour session with the premise of ongoing cooperation later on. So, this is a trial period for us. It will help us understand what building a brand constitutes and educate us into building the company and ensure appropriate communication with other professionals involved in the process.
